Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor. Bassett grew up living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett along with her mother and sister were moved from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father had split from the mother of their children. While in high school Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. The year was 1980 and Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by The Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
